The Stinky Yellow Frog

Deep in the forest there was a very stinky yellow frog.
He was also very lonely.
Nobody liked him, because of his foul stench.
Everywhere he went the creatures nearby would scream,
“Eww! You are so stinky!! Go away!”
And, so everyday he hopped away crying hoping to find a friend.
Then one day he came across a puddle with a stink bug in it.
The little stinky bug was diving with delight
and swimming with joy of solitude
When the stink bug noticed the little lonely yellow frog
he screamed, “Please come in and swim! Share my puddle with me!”
They became immediate friends, to the little frogs surprise.
Usually bugs and frogs are not friends, frogs eat bugs,
but in this case the little frog did not care to eat his bug friend.
They lived happily together for many many years in their stinky little
puddle never being told to go away by another. Being who they were always
meant to be… stinky and happy.

THE END (for my boys who love stinky stories)

Vulnerable in you arms

Vulnerable in my heart

It’s all left exposed

For you to tear apart

You seek me me out

When I wish to hide

You charm me back

After many lies

You manipulate my soul

To trust and have joy

But soon I will suffer

I know your hidden ploy

Like An Illegal Drug

She is like an illegal drug
That I should not have
Or be involved with
A drug that is always harmful and addictive
A drug that is intoxicating and euphoric
She gives me a high
And then withdrawals
When I don’t have her
I want her so badly
But if I take her
Then I must pay the consequence of
Calls of insanity
Questions of why she is gone again
Of why she does what she does
Followed by ridicule and embarrassment
For associating with such stupidity and madness

Words of Destruction

They hide inside my head
Eating at my soul
Tearing me up
And no one can see
The horrors that they cause
No one can feel the pain
That they inject in my veins
Slowly poisoning my organs
And weakening my limbs
Delaying my heart beat
Until one no longer exist
And now all that remains
Is the crisp cold chill of it’s touch
My inner words of destruction

Piercing Pain of Madness

My words were at one time enticing
And warm to the soul
And smooth as honey to swallow
But something has changed inside me
And now the only words
That seem to escape my mouth or pen
Are filled with sadness and poison
They ring in my ears
Through ou the days and nights
Torturing me with a piercing pain of madness

From An Ants Point of View

How majestic is this tree
From an ants point of view
I will climb it and explore
I will find a drop of dew
Will I find it between the bark
Oh no there’s only sap
Stay away or get stuck
Wise words from my pap
Up and up I go
Does this tree ever end
Up and up I go
It will be worth it in the end
Should I climb out on a limb?
Or should I stay safe on the trunk
The only way to reach a leaf
Is to perform this crazy stunt
One foot at a time
I have six don’t you know
I can feel the wind a gust
I can feel it really blow
I will not fall
I will not swing
I will make it to that leaf!
I will be a happy king
Oh it will be a relief
Almost there
I see the dew
Right in front of me
I’ve got it!
Yay Yippee!
A king ant there is in me!

The Calamity of Fate

It was a fortunate mistake

to see you in the evening

it was a happy accident

to pass you in the street

It was a pleasant surprise

to find you at home

It’s not taken for granted

the moment of unexpected

it is a fancy pleasure

the calamity of fate

The Princess and The Beetle

Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess and a insignificant beetle. They had many beautiful and insignificant friends, but they had a very special friendship with each other. Every day the beautiful princess would leave out a dish of sugar for the beetle and every day the beetle would go out to the garden and bring her a rose on his back. Now you may ask yourself … how can a beautiful princess and an insignificant beetle be such special friends? Well — who doesn’t need a little sugar and roses!

Pomegranate Wine

Have you ever had the pleasure of the flavor
Of pomegranate wine on your tongue?
It’s dark cool wetness on your lips?
You will find that it holds
A hidden part of nature
In the belly of it’s bottle
And as it’s juices flow
Through the neck of it’s flute
and into your glass
It splashes with delight and pleasure
As it readies for a taste
Full of Richness like a tart grape
Almost as if the skin
Of the fruit remains exposed
And deep within each drop
Is an unbearable sweetness
That shocks your senses
As it trickles down your throat
And slowly makes it’s way to your heart
Encompassing your soul
Warming your body in ways
Never forseen
Only secretly desired
You pour more into your mouth
Allowing it’s thick salty honey
To fill your cheeks
Sustaining a breath
Eluding that swallow
Enjoying the tickle
Of it’s fruits on your tongue
As you fully consume it’s ripeness
Until only your saliva stays
Saddened by it’s departure

Haiku Madness

“Haiku is a beautiful form of Japanese poetry consisting of seventeen syllables: Five syllables in the first line, seven syllables in the second line, and five in the third line.”

Haiku 1.
Wicked thoughts in mind
Behind the curtains falling
Leaves are falling also

Haiku 2.
Fertile land surrounds
Moonlight on the ground is found
Flesh hidden beneath

Haiku 3.
Dripping into mouth
Plucking off your soft warm clothes
Hero in the night

Haiku 4.
Hot chocolate with cup
Warmth in my hands and cheeks
Yummy Mexican Spice

Haiku 5.
Heavy fortunes slip
Away from those who hold tight
Happy is the heart

Haiku 6.
Our world swells with hurt
Wisdom is a dream we can
All wish for someday

Haiku 7.
Swimming in her touch
Balancing on her tongue
Travels through my soul
